INTERVIEW: Patrick Brown, Founding father of Hempfinity and chief with Nature For Justice, displays on his journey from a third-generation North Carolina tobacco farming household to the entrance strains of the U.S. hemp revival. Talking on the NIHC World Industrial Hemp Fiber Summit at North Carolina State College’s Wilson Faculty of Textiles, Brown describes how he helped information his household’s land and legacy into industrial hemp. He discusses the creation of Hempfinity’s vertically built-in mannequin for hemp-derived merchandise, his work with Nature For Justice to advertise sustainable farming and local weather resilience, and the significance of constructing equitable alternatives for smallholder and minority farmers.
