INTERVIEW: Lawrence Serbin, President of Hemp Merchants and longtime business chief, displays on greater than 30 years in hemp. Talking on the NIHC International Industrial Hemp Fiber Summit at North Carolina State College’s Wilson Faculty of Textiles, Serbin traces his journey from early advocacy with the Enterprise Alliance for Commerce and Hemp (BACH) to importing a few of the first hemp materials from China within the Nineties. He discusses the foundations of right this moment’s hemp textile market, the function of early pioneers in shaping the business, and the persevering with want for advocacy and schooling to advance hemp’s future.
