The Minnesota Division of Employment and Financial Growth (DEED) has awarded $3.6 million in grants for companies to enter the state’s adult-use hashish trade and prepare employees for trade jobs.
By means of the state’s CanNavigate, CanStartup, and CanTrain applications, 11 organizations have been awarded grants between $100,000 and $500,000 for numerous applications aimed toward offering technical help, job coaching, and opening or increasing a hashish enterprise within the state.
In an announcement, DEED Commissioner Matt Varilek stated the state’s adult-use hashish trade is “thrilling” for the state’s companies and employees.

CanStartup additionally awarded grants to 3 organizations:

- WomenVenture – $500,000
Whereas CanTrain awarded grants to 5 organizations:
- Minneapolis Group and Technical Faculty – $403,530
- Minnesota Coaching Partnerships – $126,116
- Minnesota Hashish Faculty – $250,000
- City League Twin Cities – $320,000
- White Earth Tribal and Group Faculty – $500,000
